Well. that was an amazing concert, held in Christchurch Priory on Wednesday March 12.

The programme included:

  • "Lo, the full, final sacrifice" (Op. 26), a festival anthem, composed by Gerald Finzi

  • "Blessed be the God and Father" by Samuel Wesley.

  • "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi

Thanking members of the choir, our Conductor Graham Scott wrote:

"It was a great concert ...The added colour and heft/support of the organ added a lot and the warm acoustic made it a really satisfying performance."

Thank you to Sally and the committee for all of their hard work behind the scenes.

The final decision on repertoire for Dec 2025 will come through before the summer, hopefully by the end of May. Watch this space.

Will you miss singing during the summer break?

If you want to sing over the summer before we meet again in September, please contact Charles Hunter on
thecharleshunter@gmail.com, 07787152365.
Over the last two summers, a group has met for informal singing sessions in a number of beautiful old Dorset churches, (with no electricity) singing a range of short pieces from c16th to now - acappella!

This is a wonderful way to practice sight reading and pitching notes!
If interested, please contact him directly for more details.

It is planned to start after Easter on Wednesday evenings. £10 a session to pay for a pro conductor and to make a donation to the church.
Last year about 25 participated  and it is open to all, BCS members or not”

The Choir offers friendly and professional musical direction and accompaniment.

No audition is required, just a love of singing.
